Idea 1(Improve Comedy)
This is a comedy that is based purely on putting different characters in different situations and environments with a simple plot, but no dialogue. That's right folks, no script, no script at all, pure improve. The freinds I have all over Memphis have some of the strangest, funniest, most ridiculous personalities and sence of humors I have ever witnessed, so I have decided that I could make a movie of their reactions around certain people, events and environments, instead of trying to get them to act out a particular part. I feel like each character can take whatever they realize makes them funny as a person in general and exaggerate it with improvization. I'm sure it would be a hell of a lot funnier than any script that could be written.
(Idea 2) Paint the Perfect Picture
No one can see me, or really feel me
Yall can just hear me and try and be like me
But what you think is way off my center
Life makes me mad and I feel like a splinter
I bounce
Try and find an ounce of the answers
Never get that though I just want my chance to be satisfied
What's it gonna take?
Fools think I'm ungrateful cause everything looks great
Perfection, that's what I strive for I won't settle for less
I jump then I dive for the next best thing
I think its the conquest
Usually conquer that feeling un impressed
I never rest
I'm zoned in on my own flaws known as raw
But I hate most all I've ever done
Still I'm feelin like I'm the one
I get the underground thing and people are having fun
I'm part of that, that's where my heart is at
Beating, reaching you when I'm constantly seeking new angles
Man I take out the tangles and redirect just where the pain goes
I wanna paint the perfect picture
I wanna paint the perfect picture
I wanna paint the perfect picture
Paint the perfect picture
I wanna paint the perfect picture
I wanna paint the perfect picture
I wanna paint the perfect picture
Paint the perfect picture
You take the high road, I'll blaze the trail
Paint with my fingers and hammer with no nails
I want symmetry, and logical equations
Many precious memories from flawless days in time
I'm nearly 27 in my prime
Making good decisions and giving what's mine
To be living today
That's some freaky ass sh*t
I wouldn't trade it for nothing though
Truly its a gift as I sift through my worries
I find that I'm lucky
Grateful God stuck me with some talent
I balance that together with what I've learned my way
Hoping it will take me where I need to go
I wanna paint the perfect picture
I wanna paint the perfect picture
I wanna paint the perfect picture
Paint the perfect picture
I wanna paint the perfect picture
I wanna paint the perfect picture
I wanna paint the perfect picture
Paint the perfect picture
Let me know the combo
Hit me with the combo
It takes to please all and still feel tall
Everybody's talking about everybody's rappin
And everybody's actin like they're so fresh
I wanna be that man
You cant say sh*t too except dan
You're where I wanna get to and
If you can, help me out a little
Id love to man
Get his hand up out the middle of these thoughts of pure poetry
Simple abstractions, make what's hard easy
Infractions, reactions to this
They are positive and so I move on cuz I know I got a lot to live for
And that I cant stand for nothing
Forever speakin truth over somethin that's bumpin
I said I cant stand for nothin
I wanna bring the underdog into the function
I wanna paint the perfect picture
I wanna paint the perfect picture
I wanna paint the perfect picture
Paint the perfect picture
I wanna paint the perfect picture
I wanna paint the perfect picture
I wanna paint the perfect picture
Paint the perfect picture
I have dreams of painting pictures so vivid
They make haters go livid
So major these pictures they reach
Under the dirt to the roof they speak
Hope, to abide but died
True colors never lied they cried
Real stories have now turned legend
For every person I painted to the heavens
Reach down and recognize this freak sound
I got the power to make life grow
The natural formula of letters show my bright soul
I'm innocent, artistic and rightfully here
- These are lyrics from an artist called, the Grouch. Everytime I hear this song, I visualize my process of creating art. In the beginning of the song, I visualize a frustrated kid runnning out of a class room after a critique, to go to his art studio and paint. Once he is there we see him dealing with the frustrations of starting out with a white canvas and his ongoing struggle of perfection. The kid is trying to create art that others say he should create, instaed of being himself and painting what he truly desires. As he gets frustrated and rips up everything he starts, he finds himself constantly peering over to a giant, painting in the corner. When the chorus of the song comes in, time flashes back to the kid painting the peice he keeps staring at. As the song progresses, I will visually create the lyrics. The kid will realize that he has already painted the perfect picture and walk away from his studio with it in his arms.

My reveiw of their reveiw
Having three other people veiw my movie and give their feedback helped me to realize what worked and what did not. I was a bit suprised to hear that they pretty much got the concept that I was trying to put forth. I was a bit wooried since most people in class thought that it might come off a little confusing. Everyone seemed to really appreciate the music and the metaphorical symbolism of the apple.

I wish the movie could of been a little longer. I love the bar tenders attitude about the kid and the flashbacks he's having. The music and actors are well chosen. I think y favorite scene is the kid watching the news report about the stabbing.

The movie was alittle hard to understand the first time through. The second time I watched it I ended up noticing a whole lot more. I like the way all of the characters were tied together in the end. The score is perfect, and greatly helped the aim of the movie.

I loved the image of the apple popping up in unexpected places. I saw the apple as a more natural way to lokk at life and a reminder of a different way to view the world, instead of focusing n the demands of society. The music also helped the movie a lot with an original narrative approach.
Movie Description
The movie I have chosen is a horror movie, entitled Adam's Basement, which takes place in the streets of midtown, my backhouse and the basement and abandoned apartment underneath my house. The story consists of Adam ( nice, easy going Midtown kid that pretty much keeps to himself), Homeless Guy (insane, psycopathic killer who's wife died a nasty death. He has taken upon himself to hunt the streets for people to kill), Adam's friends: two girls and three guys: Ashley, (This is the girl that Adam is dating. She is a blonde snob who is always pissed unless she gets everything she wants folded up with a nice little bow. She dies one of the most horrible deaths yet.) Karla, (This is the annoying, stupid brunette that always thinks she is right about everything. She is Ashley's friend and gets picked off fairly early in the movie.) Shade, ( This is the short funny kid that is friends with Adam.), Josh (Another best friend of Adam's), John (this is the someone smart friend of Adam's that almost gets away. His curiosity gets him in the end). The soundtrack is going to be completely original. I have already started producing it and it is extremely creepy with a bit of divine greatness. A soundtrack that will include violen's, chello's, piano, bass, guitar, drums, organ and other various synthesized sounds. The music will improve the overall suspense and terror of the movie. This is the twisted tale of a growing friendship and the lives that were lost along the way. On the night of October 31st ,young Adam is approached by a man lurking in the shadows. The man doesn’t ask Adam for anything. Instead he tells him that he aught to be careful on the street tonight, that three years ago on the same very street and the same very night his wife was killed. Adam doesn’t pay much attention to him and quickly gets in his car. The next day Adam is approached by the man again while his working on the patio at Neil’s. Everyday, the man comes back to Adam’s work telling stories of his past and hopes of the future. Tapping into the better side of himself, Adam decides to ask the man if he wants to come back to his house and hang out. Sometimes we make bad decisions in our life, this decision being the worst Adam had ever made. For days it seemed like the man just happened to be everywhere Adam went. He saw him at work, school, the gas station, the grocery store, everywhere he went it seemed like the man was right behind him. What’s up Adam, can I come and hang out with you tonight? Adam felt bad because he was always busy and couldn’t seem to find the time or the desire to hang out with him. One night Adam and a couple of his friends were drinking at his house when a news report comes on the tv about two missing girls in the Mid-town area. They paid absolutely no attention to the report. The next day Adam doesn’t see the man at all. Adam left work wondering if the man would be outside, waiting for him in the parking lot, except this time he wasn’t, he was nowhere to be seen. Where was he? Had he left Adam alone? Later that night Adam got an extremely disturbing phone call from a good friend of his, Shade. No one had seen their friend John in two days. Adam told Shade not to worry, that he probably went off on one of his drunk tangents and he would pop up in a day or so. That night Adam was sleeping, when he was suddenly awoken by a loud scream. A second later the scream stopped. Adam decided it was probably nothing and went back to sleep. The next day Shade was supposed to meet Adam at the park for their weekly soccer game, only this time he didn’t show. One by one all of Adam’s friends started disappearing. One by one the old man was picking off all of Adam’s friends. Right beneath the floors of where Adam slept at night his friends were being strangled, tortured and cut into little pieces. Since Adam wouldn’t let the old man sleep in his house, he decided to sleep under it. One night the old man was strangling Adam’s friend shelly, when he heard someone walking up Adam’s steps. He quickly bashes her head into the concrete floor to keep her from yelling. He quietly stood next to the gate, and watched Adam’s friend, Josh walk up the steps. What ya’ doing Josh, is Adam inside? Can I come hang out with you guys? How did the man know where Adam lived, had he told him? Josh knocks on the door and tells the man to hold on one second and let him see if Adam is up to having more company. As the door opens, Josh turns around and the man is gone. He tells Adam what happened and they decide it’s probably best if they stay inside for the night. When the man finishes doing what he wants to the bodies, he cuts them into little pieces and piles them in the corner. When the man passes out at night, a tall dark figure comes and takes the body parts, stuffs them in a black trash bag and throws them in the trunk of car parked next door. Later that night Adam wakes up to go to the bathroom and trips over Josh’s body, lying dead in a pool of blood. Adam panic’s, runs to the door and as soon as he opens it the man stabs him in the stomach. The man grabs Adam by his hair and drags him into the basement. Slowly, he chops off every limb until Adam is dead. Suddenly, the tall, dark figure walks into the basement and stabs the old man in the back of his head. He cuts his body apart, throws it in a black trash bag and throws it in the trunk of the car next door. The next morning, a homeless man is wakened by the tall, bag stuffing figure. How’s it going buddy, wanna get something to eat?
Synopsis
What is inner peace to you? Where does it come from? Sometimes we find it in the concept of freedom, religious beliefs or even meditation. Are we really at peace or is there a glitch in society that prevents us from truly finding it? This is the story of a frustrated, angry kid that is closing near the peak of disaster. As he escapes into the past and possibilities of the future, his fear of the world grows greater as he is forced to deal with the hassles of everyday city life, almost until the point of completely giving up on the world. With every recollection and daydream that occurs, he is taunted with the idea of escape and ways to deal with his frustrations. Throughout the film he envisions a character that somehow seems to always be at peace with himself and his surroundings. Is the man real, or is it a subconscious reaction? Will the kid use the clues that the universe is providing, or will he end up rejecting them as he has done in his past? One day, he finds himself sitting at a deserted bar for no other reason than to think. Can the people he encounters help him find the right path or is their no connection? Will the universe unfold, as it should? Can he escape the jungle of concrete? Will he ever truly grasp the concept of inner peace, or was it already inside of him, waiting to reach out and take control of the world, as he knows it? Come and follow him on a mystical journey into finding one’s inner peace.
